i am a civil engineer currently working on a PhD. I may occasionally post some things related to that under the engineering page. But this will probably not be the primary topic of this site. Why "Discrete Ideas" the title of this site Discrete Ideas originates in my doctoral work using discrete element models in which complex particle solids are modelled as assemblies of simple discrete particles. On this site I will take an analogous approach, trying to understand complex systems of ideas through a series of discrete essays and articles. Areas of Interest on this site I intend to focus on other interests outside of my work. A big part of this will be on the topic of religion. I am a Christian so much of my content will exploring Christian ideas. I may also focus on more specific areas like Anglicaninism and the Anglo-Catholic movement.
