baby snails are so tiny i want to die. sometimes i mistake them for microfauna.

BABIES. I have no idea how snails that tiny can make babies but I counted 3 microscopic snails today.

Also, those "sunflowers" I planted from seed turned out to be weeds after all! Burnweed, which is an extremely tall plant from the sunflower family. I pulled them as soon as I had a proper ID. Now I know to trust my instincts over a seed packet. Thanks for nothing Botanical Interests.

I am now the proud caretaker of 10 tiny pink ramshorn snail babies. Everything they do is perfect and I love them.

SUNFLOWER WATCH: freakish buds have grown. briefly terrified I'd been nurturing a massive weed all this time, and checked the seed packet to reassure myself.
